Stanton's local club
is owned and run by its members on not-for-profit principles so you can always be sure of a clean and tidy place to call in, and with keen prices, too!
If you haven't been in the Village Club lately then you may be in for a pleasant surprise!
The Club formed a new committee in the early summer of last year (2015) and, supported by a team of enthusiastic volunteers, has completed the first phase of its self-rejuvenation, including a refit of the seating in the lounge area.
With a fresh range of beers, ales and ciders, new stock and glasses, and a much improved wine list, the Club has successfully turned itself around and is trading in profit even during the recent cold and damp winter months.
Not only does the inside look clean and bright, the car park, lighting and beer garden have received a welcome sprucing up producing a nice alternative venue to drop in for a drink and a natter with friends.
Walk-in guests can expect a friendly welcome and are free to use the club's facilities, which include large-screen TV, pool table, darts and, in the beer garden, a boule court.
If you are one of the many people who walk in the area, please feel free to drop in for a refreshing drink or just a tea or coffee. You may want to watch the local cricket team, who play on the pitch next to the club most weekends in the summer.
