People very occasionally discover an injured animal when walking on the paths around the village and,
understandably, would like to speak with someone who can help. Dead animals are, unfortunately, beyond anyone's help!
It can be very difficult to identify a farm animal's owner, and then even harder to subsequently track down
the animal to administer any necessary care.
In these situations, one of Stanton's local farmers, Ken Ryland, has kindly offered to help, where possible.
He and his wife, Val, will do what they can to assist you in helping an injured farm animal
(sheep, cow, pig etc), but please remember that they only have limited time and resources to deal with your call.
If you find an injured wild animal you may want to contact the
Vale Wildlife Hospital
for further advice.
